When we think of holidays we tend to think of packing our suitcase, jumping on a plane and heading to places overseas where we can enjoy a different climate, different cultures and new sights, sounds, smells and tastes that we might not be exposed to as part of our day-to-day lives at home. But with current world events, it’s starting to look like overseas holidays might not be an option for all of us this summer. This doesn’t have to be a cause for concern though. You really don’t have to head far away to enjoy a luxury holiday break. Here are a few alternatives that you might want to consider.
Holidaying at home
Spending time at home can be a luxury experience in and of itself. You just need to take the right approach to it. The summer months are fast approaching, and the weather is definitely lightening up and brightening up. So, if you have a garden, why not bring in a gardener who will be able to neaten things up and make a lovely space for you to spend time in? Make sure your house is clean and tidy for a stress-free vibe. The whole point of most holidays is to give yourself time to kick back, relax and let your hair down. So, stock up on bits and bobs that make you feel comfortable and happy. Bath bombs and luxury washes are a great start to relaxation. Buy a soft and high-thread picnic blanket to lay out in the back garden and relax on. Fill your fridge with delicious foods that you wouldn’t usually fork out on.
A road trip
If you want to stay close to home, but want to get out and enjoy yourself, why not consider a road trip? Hire out a luxury vehicle from a reliable company like JJ Premium Cars and determine where you want to head. Make a clear route and choose a travel buddy you get on well with and set to the open road. There are so many beautiful locations wherever you live. You just need to find them out! Do a little research and you’ll find all sorts of secret hotspots you might never have paid attention to before.
A holiday by the coast
If you live somewhere with a coastline, why not hire out a cottage, apartment, or other short-term rental property to spend a little time by the sea? Sea air is always good for you and the relaxed atmosphere can give you the much needed rest you deserve. Just remember to pack everything you need. Sure, it might not be as hot here as a destination you planned on heading to, but you will still need basics like sunscreen and SPF lip balms.
These are just a few different options that you might want to consider for an alternative and closer to home holiday this summer. They will all see you have a nice time where you can really enjoy yourself!
