New Year - new car

As the new year approaches, there is every chance that you’ll be looking to set some new year’s resolutions to aim for before the end of the year. One of the resolutions that many people choose is learning to drive.

Given that we live in a world where most of the public transport is well-funded (depending on where you are), a lot of people aren’t driving as much as they used to. So the number of passed tests is falling as less people bother to learn. However, with the rise of the electric car and cars that are better for the environment, it’s now a good time to learn. 2020 is on the horizon, so why not make getting a new car your new year’s resolution? Here are some excellent reasons to why you should learn to drive next year.

    • Total independence. Driving your own car can give you the independence that you need to stop asking your parents and friends for rides. When you book with the right driving school, you’ll feel the independence from the moment you get behind the wheel. Once you have passed your test, you can go car shopping and start looking for the car that’s going to set off your year.
    • Working. A new career can make a big impact in your life, but there are many roles out there that require you to know how to drive. You can open up the field in front of you if you know how to drive and it shows that you are committed to a task and ready to develop your skills.
  • Electric car
    • The chance to help. Remember all the times that you asked for lifts from others? Well, why not be the person to offer now? You can be the one who offers to help their friends and family to get where they need to go!
    • Cheaper insurance faster. If you decide to learn to drive in 2020, you’re going to get yourself started on the road to lower insurance. It’s always going to bite a little harder for a first-time driver, but the sooner you pass, the sooner you can start making sure that you have a lower insurance premium.
    • Life skills. One thing that you’re going to gain when you learn to drive is life skills. You will learn to navigate, to spot dangers without thinking about it, how to be patient with others and with yourself and you’re going to witness improvements in your coordination too. You might even be tempted to take a few classes in car maintenance, so that you’ll know what to do if you’re stuck on the road!
    • Freedom. When you are driving, you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. There’s no schedule to adhere to, no timetable telling you when you can and cannot travel. No matter what you do, you can make your own life much easier because you’ve made the effort to pass your test.

It’s a new year and a new decade: so why not take the time to do something for yourself this year.
