London Fashion Week 2018 Paul Costelloe

Hot on the heels of London Fashion Week Men’s which we attended in January, we were also at this year’s London Fashion Week which took place in central London from 16th the 20th February 2018 and have put together a photo collection of what the fashion designers had on display this year as they showed off their Autumn/Winter 2018 collections, creativity and brands here in London.

Day 1 included collections from Ashley Williams; Bora Aksu, a London based Turkish designer who graduated from Central Saint Martin’s MA in 2002; Central Saint Martin’s MA Fashion, which has a reputation for sending the best professional talent into the fashion industry; Fyodor Golan; Matty Bovan, who held his first solo show at this year’s event; Irish designer Richard Malone, Ryan Lo; sisters Faye and Erica Toogood and collections from students at the University of Westminster who have developed an international reputation for producing talented fashion designers.

Day 2 included collections from British designer Alice Archer who graduated from the Royal College of Arts in 2013; Burberry; Chalayan; Turkish-born and London based Dorateymur; English-born fashion designer Gareth Pugh; House of Holland from Henry Holland; Jasper Conran OBE, founding member of the London Designer Collections, which was subsequently named London Fashion Week; Northern Irish designer JW Anderson; Lulu Guinness, which was founded back in 1989; British American designer Mimi Wade; Osman, which is the label from London-based Osman Yousefzada who made his debut back in 2007 and London born Sadie Williams, who creates modern textile driven fashion.

Day 3 included collections from Delhi-born Ashish; Delpozo; Canadian-born British designer Edeline Lee; Margaret Howell, who has worked in the industry for over four decades designing contemporary men’s and women’s clothing; Mary Katrantzou; Palmer/Harding which was launched in 2012 by Levi Palmer and Mathew Harding; Korean-born Rejina Pyo; Estonian-born Roberta Einer; award-winning international designer Roland Mouret and Temperley London founded by Alice Temperley MBE in London back in 2000, a year after she graduated from the Royal College of Art.

Day 4 included collections from Christopher Kane; Georgian-born David Koma who studied Fine Art in St Petersburg; Erdem; Paris-born Faustine Steinmetz who studied at Atelier Chardon Savard in Paris before moving to London; Marques’ Almeida; luxury womenswear brand Mother Of Pearl; Nicopanda; Irish-American designer Paul Costelloe, who is one of the most established names in British and Irish fashion; Pringle of Scotland and Roksanda.

Day 5 included collections from A By Jigsaw which was first launched in 2015; Spanish-born Emilio De La Morena; Korean-born Eudon Choi studied in Seoul before moving to London; Isa Arfen; Jamie Wei Huang and her contemporary luxury womenswear label; Merchant Archive founded by Sophie Merchant in 2007; London-born Richard Quinn who established his label just two years ago; Shrimps, the fashion label from London-based Hannah Weiland which was launched in 2013; Tata Naka, the label by identical twins Tamara and Natasha Surguladze and London-based Teatum Jones who have a luxury label know for its modern, polished and bold aesthetics aimed at creative and confident women.

Her Majesty The Queen also made a surprise appearance at London Fashion Week this year, attending Richard Quinn’s show where she presented him with a British Design Award. The Queen sat in the front row beside Anna Wintour, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue.
