Organic American Restaurant
This wonderful Organic restaurant located in fashionable Chelsea serving fabulously prepared American cuisine with a hint of Mediterranean from locally sourced ingredients.
The hospitality is warm, the service exceptional with a great buzz and always busy.
There is a nice and interesting design bar (exposed metal) at the front of the restaurant and for Scotch lovers, there is a very good Scotch list we saw about 7 or 8, including 2 hard to find Scotches, Auchentoshan being one.
They have an extensive wine cellar and good wine list. They are passionate and their appreciation of wine and food pairings at all price levels is excellent, so don’t be afraid to ask for advice.
I had the most incredibly tasty Quail on my first visit at dinner, but for my most recent lunch there we chose a fabulous Broccoli & White Cheddari Soup as it was a cold day. We then had the special of the day which was Duck Confit with apples, savoury cabbage, walnuts, currents and mustard vinaigrette and Fish Burger, made up of striped bass & merluza, fennel salad, Aleppo aioli & fries. That was accompanied with an excellent glass of Rioja and the Gruner Veltliner.
Other choices on the menu included a Skirt Steak with braised cabbage & bacon, Pan Seared Striped Bass and a choice of 3 salads. There were 8 starters ranging from Spanish Mackerel Carpaccio to Steamed Buchot Mussels with wine, bacon, Honeycrisp apples, shallots, jalapenos, celery and parsley. You might of course be tempted by half a dozen oysters.
At dinner they also offer Hampshire Pork Chop from their stone oven amongst other things and of course a good old New York Strip Steak.
This is a very popular hidden gem, so do make sure you book. Although they do have a second sitting (and we were there just after midday), we did not feel rushed at all and could have sat there all afternoon without feeling we needed to leave.
Open for breakfast from 8am to 11am, lunch from 11:30am to 4pm and dinner from 5:30pm to 11:30pm (10pm on Sunday). They also serve Brunch from 10:30am to 4pm.

Relaxed atmosphere with lots of natural light from the large wall to ceiling windows. The walls are brightly decorated in yellow with some green shrubs adding to the organic feel.
Lunch for two of us came to $91 excluding tip (starter, main, glass of wine each and 2 coffees). Starters from around the $8 mark; Lunch mains from $14; Dinner mains from $25; Oysters around the $16 mark. Wine by the glass from around $14.
