Club Olympus Spa and Fitness at Hyatt Regency Mainz
Health Spa in Mainz
Hotel Health Spa
For guests staying at the Hyatt Regency Mainz, the Club Olympus Spa is the perfect place to relax and unwind at any time of the day and has a rather exclusive feel to it.
The Spa and its facilities are also open to locals and non-hotel guests alike and offer first class facilities and treatments in a tucked away little oasis on the ground floor of the hotel with its unusual coconut wooden floor and five treatment rooms.
From its 12.5 metre heated indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and gym to the menu of spa treatments available in its five treatment rooms, you will find something for everyone here.
The club was refurbished back in 2010 and still looks fresh and modern. The large fitness room or gym boasts and array of LifeFitness cardio equipment, a weights machine as well as an assortment of free weights. There is a unisex sauna and steam room and the good sized swimming pool has some relaxing chaise lounges in which to relax and read or listen to music in between a swim or session in the whirlpool.
The salon offers manicures and pedicures as well as facials and hand and feet scrubs. If like me you are partial to a relaxing massage, then you can choose either a 30 minute Swedish or a 60 or 90 minute whole body Abhyanga Ayurveda Massage. They also do a Chinese foot pressure massage and can of course customise a massage to suit you, so just let them know when making your booking.
The spa offers a range of body treatments including a Lemon Sugar Body Scrub and Khanya Energy Balance face and body treatment. The Green Tea-Cucumber Scrub and Wrap cleanses the body deep down and polishes your skin to perfection whilst the green tea and cucumber extracts help to counteract any effects of stress you may have thanks to our 24/7 lifestyle we tend to lead these days. I also like the hot stone treatment, which in this case is a scrub and massage that helps to get your circulation running more efficiently and thereby giving your skin that healthy tone.
You may want to take advantage of some special packages such as a weekend Spa Package which includes a stay in the hotel, breakfast and a late checkout. Alternatively there is their Winter “Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage” which is perfect for combating the cold weather. Lie back and enjoy a relaxing full-body massage with exotic oils and the sound of Hawaiian music. Sounds like my idea of heaven!
