Some say The May Fair Bar is the best hotel bar in London.

It certainly is chic, trendy and attracts an eclectic mix of people.

They have an extraordinary menu of some 40 signature drinks making each visit a new experience!

Classic cocktails start from around the £11 mark with a variety of Martinis and Martini cocktails. They have some wonderful ‘flight’ cocktails such as the Martini Destination Milan, London and Amsterdam; Champagne Flights and Long-haul Whisky Flights.

Their Mixologists headed up by Marios Elias have conjured up an exquisite array of cocktails to tempt most tastes.

They also have some very nice wines and offered good advice when I asked for an oaked Chardonnay – which was excellent.

The bar is pretty large and in an L-shape with some cosy more private seating areas towards the back close to the Champagne chiller well stocked with some very large magnums!  I also like the cosy fireplace, perfect for those cold winter evenings.  When the sun goes down the bar is quite darkly lit so it is perfect for a romantic rendezvous.

I popped in for a second visit on a Thursday afternoon recently for a business meeting and we struggled to get a table at 4pm!  By the time we left just before 6pm it was getting pretty busy but had a great atmosphere.  This place is popular.

The Bar is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as drinks.  For drinks only it is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 11pm (last orders for food at 9pm).  Sunday from 9am to 10pm.
