Wagamama London Bridge

Restaurant in London

Modern Asian Cuisine / Noodle Bar

Whilst this is not the usual type of eating establishment we tend to review here at Our Man On The Ground, we like the Wagamama concept for its simplicity, good quality, great value, friendly service and generous portions of freshly prepared nutritious food.

This is by no means a luxury restaurant and you will be sitting on benches rather than chairs and more than likely sharing a table with other people, but sometimes you just want to meet with friends in an informal fun atmosphere and Wagamama’s does just that.  With more than 100 restaurants in the UK, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and US, you know that you will eat well whichever one you choose.

There are plenty of noodles to choose from and their salads are tasty and filling.  I love their Mandarine Chicken salad whilst my Canadian friends always start with the Edamame.  The Japanese beer is excellent and the desserts large – check out the Chocolate Fudge Cake below. Personally I go for their healthy and tasty frozen yoghurts.  If you have not been to one before, don’t be surprised when they start scribbling on your place mat – that’s your order!

And the price?  Three of us had a great meal for just under £55 excluding tip.

We also like the Piccadilly/Haymarket restaurant, as it is tucked away, smaller and tends not to get so busy.
