The Nadler Victoria

Hotel in London

Designer Boutique Hotel

The Nadler Victoria, which opened just before Christmas 2015, is the fourth hotel of the growing Nadler Hotel Group, which has hotels in Kensington, Soho and Liverpool.

Affordable quality with a touch of luxury and first class service is what the Nadler brand is all about, so if you tend to shy away from the more traditional hotels and want something a little more intimate with modern amenities, which you can use as your home away from home but in a great central location, then The Nadler Victoria fits that bill perfectly.

This value for money hotel offers something altogether a little different. You will not find a restaurant or even a bar in this or any of Nadler’s other hotels. What Robert Nadler, a charismatic, charming and relatively new hotelier wants to bring his guests, is 5-star quality but with a 4-star price tag and his passion for hotels and attention to detail can clearly be seen throughout the property.  So if it’s a gym you are after, well the hotel has an arrangement with a nearby Fitness First that you can use at a discounted rate of just £5 for a Day Pass. And when it comes to breakfast, The Nadler has an arrangement with a local partner whereby you can pre-order a tasty array of fresh pastries and goodies that can be delivered to you in the comfort of your own room and better still, you’ll only be charged a very reasonable £1 delivery, less than the tip for room service at a traditional hotel I dare say!

On entering the hotel you are greeted by the charming and delightful staff who will ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The reception is manned 24 hours a day and doubles up as a Local Ambassador Concierge, so they can help you with finding your way around London or booking that special dinner.

All the rooms in the hotel come equipped with a small kitchenette tucked away behind what looks like a wardrobe door that has a proper kitchen sink, microwave, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee capsules and Brita filtered water on tap, which is a nice touch. And if you are checking in late you may want to ask the staff to stock your refrigerator with some food, which they will be happy to do for you at the time of booking.

The Nadler Victoria has six different room categories including a couple of family rooms which can sleep up to four people quite comfortably. You can also expect to have a really good night’s sleep as the rooms have top quality pocket-sprung beds and the double glazed windows keep any street noise out. The rooms are nicely decorated in sandy limestone with tasteful original artwork by French artist Ronald Diennet adorning the walls with one particular room having a faux bookcase along one wall which I particularly like and adds that little bit of chic.

The modern, functional and well-equipped bathrooms are decorated with oatmeal coloured tiles and come with either a bath with shower or a walk in shower. You will also find luxurious bathrobes and slippers in the Deluxe rooms and Gilchrist & Soames amenities in all room categories.

Whilst most of us have mobile phones these days, I like the fact that the hotel gives you 30 minutes of free local and national calls per day and the efficient complimentary Wi-Fi means you can check your e-mails or watch the latest series of House of Cards on Netflix. The large flat screen HD TV also offers free access to the Internet as well as a free music library. The work desk has built-in power points for the UK and the Continent as well as a USB charger, HDMI link and data port. Perfect for those of you who have to work.

The Nadler Victoria fills an important vacuum in the hotel market, offering its guests a classy, chic and comfortable room in a great central location with a touch of simplicity and luxury without having to pay for a hotel that has all the bells and whistles, some of which you may never use.
