The Office
Restaurant in Delray Beach
Gastro Pub (American Style)
What a fun place with a great atmosphere, 36 beers on tap and fabulous food!
With its very long two-sided bar, The Office is a great place to hang out with friends after work and try one or two of their imported beers or meet up and have an excellent meal in a lively buzzing atmosphere.
The large food menu (entitled Office Supplies) doubles up as the extensive wine and beer menu with a great choice of wines from California, France, Spain, New Zealand, South Africa and South America. A large glass or 1/3 Bottle as they call it starts at around $9 for a Chalone Monteray Chardonnay going up to $25 for a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Half bottles start at around $20 and full bottles a pretty reasonable $27. If you are beer lover, this place is heaven, with draught bears from Germany, France, Belgium and the US. Pales & Ales from the UK and US and IPA’s from the US. They even have a locally brewed brown ale from Florida. There is a good selection of Belgian Style Ales and White Beers from Germany, Belgium, Canada and the US. Brandon is their resident beer expert and brought me a nice cross section to try including a Unibroue Ephemere wheat beer from Quebec and a Colorado Oscar Blue Moon. The Office work closely with quite a few Micro Breweries and do Beer Pairing evenings, which I would love to go to.
Chef Zack Orsini and his team have conjured up some wonderful offerings on the menu and so we decided to sample as much as possible! First to come out were some fabulously smooth Cape Cod (Wianno) Oysters. We then had the most delicious Soft Shell Crab stuffed in to a Taco filled with Avocado butter. The Triple Brie platter was simply divine if you are a cheese lover. Zack then produced their signature Truffle Fries, which are reputed to be the best in the area, covered in Parmesan cheese, white Truffle oil and roasted garlic aioli. We then topped it all with what The Office is known best for – their signature Office Beef Burger ‘The CEO’, made with prime beef, Maytag Blue and Gruyere Cheese, sweet onion, bacon and tomato. It is absolutely amazing! They also make pretty darn good Veggie Burgers as well.
To give you an idea of their prices, salads are around the $11 to $19 mark, burgers start at around $16, whilst steaks are just under $30.
Our Man On The Ground would certainly recommend The Office as a fun place with great food, beers and excellent service from the very friendly and energetic staff.
