Restaurant in Bray Village
English Country Gatro Pub
This wonderful old pub in the charming village of Bray is well worth a visit particularly as it is owned by Heston Blumenthal of the famed Fat Duck, which is just next door.
The food is uncomplicated yet excellent, including Lancashire hotpot, oxtail and kidney pudding, sea bream with fennel to name a few. There is a good selection of wines available by the glass (they have an extensive and sensational wine cellar) as well as a good selection of Ales and beers with Greene King IPA and Abbot being perhaps the most popular as well as an excellent bloody mary!
The staff are friendly and welcoming and you will find may locals frequenting the place both at lunch and dinner.
The Hinds head is an authentic English pub at its best with excellent lunchtime snacks, previously voted Berkshire Dining Pub of the year.
