I popped in to one of my favourite new London restaurants yesterday for lunch to find that the name had changed. I thought I was going mad at first and had to look at the name twice. Apparently another restaurant had complained that the name Assaggini was too similar to theirs, hence the hasty change.
I finally made it to Assaggini yesterday for lunch with a friend who also writes for Our Man On The Ground and has her own great Blog. Juan, the very hospitable manager has put together a very professional and delightful team who looked after us extremely well. We love the ambience which is fresh, clean and trendy. This part of London around Haymarket and Lower Regent Street was crying out for some decent restaurants.
