London Transport and the Olympic Games

It was fun trying to get to Kensington High Street yesterday afternoon for a meeting. I discovered that the District and Circle lines are closed until 27^th August for upgrade work! Apparently August is a quiet time. You could have fooled me with the amount of tourists I saw looking totally confused faced with the closure. The only alternative was to take a bus, and given that it was 30 degrees yesterday and London buses are not air conditioned, I arrived at my meeting late and hot!
