Distinguished architect Lord Forster has recently unveiled his plans to design a new airport in the Thames Estuary on the Isle of Grain in Kent.

The grand scheme, which has been branded a ‘pie-in-the-sky’ will not come cheaply, costing at least £50 billion!

Stuck in the Airport with a Delayed Flight?

Most of us have had to endure it and those that have not, will no doubt have to at some point of their lives.  Yes I’m talking about the dreaded terminal time caused by a flight delay or even worse, cancellation!

According to flightstats.com July 2011 saw 123,075 flight delays and 3,442 cancellations in Europe alone! Looking at global statistics the delays were a staggering 523,307 and 26,870 in cancellations.

London Airports to get makeover

Terminal 5 at London’s Heathrow airport has been a huge improvement, almost like having a new airport (as long as you don’t see the other old terminals) and work is well underway on the new Terminal 2 replacement. However I read that yet more improvement work is being planned for both Heathrow and Gatwick with an investment of some £4 billion.
