Lisa Marks

Lisa Marks is a freelance journalist who travels between London and Los Angeles covering the entertainment business, and sampling as many new foods as possible.

Her LA Diary ran on the Guardian's film blog pages for two years and she also contributes to their film, arts and culture sections. After relocating to Hollywood she became the LA correspondent for the Australian Sunday Telegraph and also The Scotsman. Her interviews with the beautiful and the famous can be found at www.lisamarksmedia.com

Lisa has lectured on journalism at Winchester University, and in 2015 contributed to the advertising industry's prestigious creative bible, The Epica Book.

She has travelled extensively throughout Europe and North America, seeking out high-end food, wine and hotel experiences. She often visits her family in the Canary Islands but has yet to find a tastier tomato than the ones she bought at the St Chinian farmers market in the Languedoc.

Fun fact: This photo was taken at Vasquez Rocks in the Sierra Pelona Mountains, in northern California. Famously, it's where Captain Kirk fought the Gorn in a 1966 classic episode of Star Trek!
