Re-Launch of The Collection Restaurant in Chelsea

I recently attended a launch evening for The Collection on Brompton Road in London, which has been newly acquired and refurbished. The interesting entrance and long corridor leads you to think you are entering a fashionable nightclub, but instead you walk in to a large bar area with a very high ceiling and restaurant upstairs.

The long metal bar is imposing and impressive as is the eclectic cocktail list. We were served some delicious canapés by the attentive staff and a tour of the restaurant and open kitchen by the owner hinted at what is in store for diners. Executive Chef Alex Fanzola has put together a contemporary Southern European menu with a Mediterranean twist sourcing ingredients from organic British suppliers.

This is a fashionable and trendy place with its exposed brickwork, large warehouse style windows behind the bar, metallic lighting and intimate little nooks with comfortable leather and velvet banquettes.

A full review will follow in due course when we have visited the restaurant for dinner. The Collection is located at 264 Brompton Road, London, SW3 2AS and is open for lunch and dinner.
