Indian Summer in London

Summer is back! London is basking in a late summer surge with temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit).

We were treated to a selection of some his delicious new cocktails and nibbles from the kitchen below to introduce us to Michel’s unique three-course cocktail menu – the ‘Three Citrus Ricky’, ‘Pembury Cup’ and Colonial Flip’.  Michel told us that he is “keen to introduce a new drinks menu concept that reflects the influences of the main restaurant menu.”

I enjoyed a pre-opening glass of champagne at Réunion, London’s newest Champagne and Cocktail Bar located in the newly refurbished Grosvenor Hotel in Victoria.

The bar was buzzing yesterday evening with visitors who had come to look around the £20m refurbished hotel.  The ambience is modern and trendy and I just love the tall backed chairs!  You have to check them out...

According to research carried out by a Professor in mental performance - Siegfried Lehrl from Erlangen University in Germany, relaxing on your summer holiday can reduce your IQ so it is suggested you attempt to keep your brain active on holidays and breaks.

On Board with Club World

The plane to Washington Dulles was a Boeing 777 and once on board I was directed to my Club World Sleeper seat.  Thankfully there is ample storage space in the overhead bins as I hate having to fight for space for my hand luggage and as regular traveller I always like to take a small bag on board with me just in case my case goes astray and I have at least a couple of days worth of clean clothes.

British Airways’ Club World service makes travelling long haul so much more pleasant and enjoyable. From the moment you have checked in and have your boarding pass in your hand you know you are going to be more relaxed.  Firstly you get to whisk through the Fast Track security queue, which can often save you valuable lounge time.
